Regions and places

The Vienna Woods – a mosaic of regions, landscapes and cultures. The Vienna Woods tourist region stretches from Klosterneuburg in the north to Neulengbach in the west and from Vienna in the south to the Triesting Valley.

The Helenental valley connects Alland, Heiligenkreuz and Baden, framed by the ruins of Rauheneck and Rauhenstein. The Thermenregion Vienna Woods carries its vineyards from the city limits of Vienna via Gumpoldskirchen to Bad Vöslau. Around Klosterneuburg, the proximity of the Danube and the foothills of the Vienna Woods meet. In the Triesting Valley, forests, plains and gentle hills open up to the transition into the Vienna Alps. And in the western Vienna Woods, dense forests and cool paths characterise the rhythm of a vast natural area.
